On the day
With over 15 years of experience in Wedding photography I've seen some changes and those changes are all good! Our couples are now wanting 'their story told' through their images on the day. This is where I really like to get to know my clients, find out their style and through their images let the bridal party reflect their own personalities. Lots of very special 'moments' happen on a wedding day, and with my experience I'm anticipating these moments, and by capturing them it all helps to portray the mood and atmosphere of your day. You will find I shoot your wedding in an unobtrusive manner. I enjoy being able to roam around your wedding capturing those special shots of you and your guests, those little details that you've put a lot of thought into, all images that help to tell the 'story'.
Some direction on the day is needed - I get a lot of comments from my clients that they enjoyed my direction, we got the 'formalities' done without fuss and everyone enjoyed themselves.
I want you to be comfortable during your photography - but let's face it: how many of us love being in front of a camera? I've picked up some ways that help my couples be themselves. (I also know some neat little tips to make the best of our good features and down play the ones we're not keen on) - yes we all have our insecurities and we'll work through these together and guess what - we'll have fun doing it! I also keep in mind that some of the loveliest images I take are when I'm working discreetly, leaving you in your own company.
Now the above can be accomplished without feeling like you've had a photographer in your face! This is my philosophy and goal for you're wedding day.
A little about me
I've always counted myself extremely lucky in being able to do what I love and it's a privilege and honour to take part in what is one of the most important days of our lives. I get to meet some amazing people and have stayed in touch with many of my clients and to see or hear from them with their now sometimes growing families is so rewarding.
Having settled in Napier with my husband and two young children and appreciating nature, I also love having the opportunity to bring into my wedding photography the stunning scenery that the Hawke's Bay has to offer.
I believe its important to get to know your photographer so you can feel more comfortable with them on the day ... I also love hearing from my clients how they never expected their photography to be so much fun!
